Retrofête Collab

Here is the story of how we met. Our paths crossing was seriously such a fluke! I was second shooting for another photographer in May of 2024, and got acquainted with 2 of the bridesmaids in the wedding party. They happened to be twins, so naturally they stood out. We connected after the wedding, you know, followed each other on socials/ liked each others stuff. I brought Anna along to a session with me as her interest in photography started growing that summer. Their lil’ creative hearts kept beating & started ‘Retrofete Vintage’

The story continues

I think both of them have always been heavily influenced by fashion and especially retro fashion, a love for thrifting we shared. They started a shop online for curated vintage clothing/ shoes/ accessories and have since hosted a few pop-ups!

We wanted to collaborate and host a giveaway together to give a little something back to our followers—free photoshoot, credit to their shop and even a film camera! Who wouldn’t want to win that?

So this photoshoot came to life! We wanted to shoot mostly film and find a backdrop that takes you back in time. Then we would use the photos to post for the giveaway, plus just a chance to connect again & essentially play dress up for an hour.

It’s not always, you meet someone and you click. For these girls it really feels like a connection that was meant to be. The red string theory in action.
